Erica Stevens Abbitt

Erica Stevens Abbitt is a theatre artist and scholar with an abiding passion for arts education and social justice. A director, playwright and performer (with acting credits which include the BBC series Oppenheimer and the off-Broadway production of Philistines), she is an associate professor emerita of the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor, Ontario, where she also served as director of the Humanities Research Group. She has written extensively on feminist theatre and contemporary plays by women in Canada, the US and Britain, including “The Theatre of Naomi Wallace: Embodied Dialogues” which she co-edited with Scott T. Cummings. Dedicated to mentorship, collaboration and theatre as an agent of change, she is absolutely delighted to be part of the team at PCTC.
